Big Stamp Giveaway!!

Exciting news is going on over at Purple Onion Designs! Stacey Yacula's 2013 winter stamp collection will be released this Friday, November 1! The new collection is called Winter Wishes! and it is as adorable as ever!

The stamps will be on the website for you to order on Friday, November 1. There will be lots of samples coming your way from all the design team members. Be sure to stop here and the POD blog to see them all! 

There will also be a giveaway of the entire Winter Wishes! stamp collection by Michele at POD and Stacey. The collection contains 26 individual super cute unmounted stamps! Studio Calico + ME

Morning! The ME Design Team is showcasing some more cards today using the Cuppa and Cinnamon Spice kits from Studio Calico. Check out the others here and be sure to comment for they are giving away both kits to one lucky winner!

I've really enjoyed all of the embellishments from these kits, along with the super fun ME stamp set!

I went with a pretty simple color pallet for this first card. The black stars from the Cuppa kit work perfectly for my shaker card effect! Isn't the sentiment pretty in the Winter ink from ME??

My next card utilizes the patterned paper from the Cuppa paper pad. I loved this particular page and knew I needed to work with it sooner than later. The gorgeous red ribbon from the Cuppa kit completely finishes off the look along with the "joy to you and me" sentiment and Christmas tree from the Cinnamon Spice stamp set.

Winter Wonderland + Video!

Did anyone have snow in their area this week? There were parts of Iowa that had some, but we lucked out and didn't get any here. Too early for that! All I want to see of snow is the kind I create on my cards, like the one I'm sharing today. This card features a slide out message (how-to video is below). This is such a fun way to make your card interactive! The Winter Wonderland set worked well for this type of card.

The "mama" deer is slightly lifted to allow the recipient to pull out a special message.

Here's a video showing how I put this card together. I am not an expert at making videos, so it's a bit amateurish, and there's a point in the video where it sounds like a bird is chirping. LOL...I don't have a bird. ;-)

ME Highlight: Toy Shop

Hello! Today ME is highlighting the Toy Shop stamp set. It is such a cute building set with so many possibilities! I knew that I wanted to create a two-story shop and add the hinged toy shop sign. You can see the hinged effect on the detailed photo below.

I really like the color combo on this card. I used Copic markers to fill in the toys, sign and building. The scalloped edge is simply punched circles lined up on the bottom and trimmed with the matted edge.

ME Highlight: Merry Greetings

Morning! Today I am sharing a card I made using the new Merry Greetings stamp set from Mama Elephant. These sentiments are beautifully done!

I also used the Embellished Tag Creative Cut and the deer from the Winter Wonderland set (all links below). I cut and sewed on a photo sleeve pocket to house the cute little tag. This will be the perfect little gift for someone special this Christmas.

ME Highlight: Remember December

Remember December is a fun set that works perfectly for Project Lifers and even card makers! I made up a fun polka-dot card using the little word circles from this set stamped with the new inks Apple, Hazel and Ocean. Lovin' these new inks!!

Walking in a Winter Wonderland

Today's highlight on the ME Blog is the new stamp set, Winter Wonderland. You will definitely want to make a wintry scene on your card with this fun set! FYI...all my links for the new products featured are at the end of this post.

I also used the Creative Cuts Bold Banner and Femme Frames that are new this month. Don't you just love that perforated border on the Femme Frame?!?!! The banner is so quick and easy and fits perfectly on size A4 cards.

The Creative Color Inks are becoming a fast favorite of mine too. The Winter Wonderland deer and the cloud from the Sunny Skies set are stamped in Smoke (all links are below).
