ME April Design Inspiration - Day 2

Morning! Today I'm sharing some PL layouts for you. This first page was all about using the Flashy Letters. I had so much fun simply using them as they are directly on the packaging. I emphasized the word "art" by stamping those letters separately. If you want to do this technique, simply ink the stamps while still on packaging, then place your cardstock onto the stamps (be careful not to move the paper).

For my next page, I used a mixture of the Flashy Letters, Tree Friends, Central Park & Today Was:

I had to include a shot of this baby doll I came across at a local antique mall...creepy & funny all in one. :)

ME April Design Inspiration

Today I am sharing a layout using the "at" symbol from the Bling set and the ampersand from the Today Was set. As an on-again-off-again graphic design student, I am always interested in using these symbols on my work. I cut the title from my Cameo and then layered it over a sheet of purple vellum. To create the arrows on the middle right, I cut out the shapes from the entire stamped image.

ME Stamp Highlight: Bling

Today Mama Elephant is highlighting the Bling set. I decided to join in on the fun and make up another PL card to showcase on a base card. This time I added in a second card tucked in behind the main one to reveal a message.

April Blog Hop with ME Stamps!

Here's a card I submitted for a Halloween publication call, but it wasn't picked, so I am sharing it with all of you! I just love those Flashy letters, don't you??

I used the emboss-resist technique with the Flashy letters. Worked real well to ink around them to give the card an eerie feeling.

Where is Spring??

I am so ready for Spring to get here. Seriously. Lows around here are still in the teens; however, they are predicting lows will be in the 30's and 40's later this week, so maybe we'll be seeing spring temps here soon. Here's a springy card to help lift our spirits up a bit this week:

Isn't that background fun?!? It reminded me of chicken wire & thought it would be perfect with "Faith" the Chicken from Purple Onion Designs. I spritzed the diecut background with two different Mister Huey's Color Mists. Background can be found in the Silhouette store under the artist Totally Jamie Illustration & Design.

ME Sketch Challenge + Layout

Mama Elephant is holding another sketch challenge (details below). The Sketch Challenge will run two weeks (4/1 - 4/14). They are looking for two winners who will each receive 2 sets of stamps from an upcoming release. Winners will also participate in our monthly Stampede along with our Design Team and be featured on our blog throughout the month with their projects using our stamps!! How fun is that?!?!!

Jon made texas toast for us, and Haley's piece just happened to have an "H" on it, hence the title "personalized toast." I had to take a picture of it! :)
