Haley's softball season is coming to a close & that means a little more evening time for me to create! For those of you who have been, or are currently parents of children in sports, you can understand the commitment that both the child & parent invest. For me it is such a thrill to see Haley catch the fly ball or connect her bat to the ball. Haley's coach, Jackie, has graduated from the local college and is moving off into the working world. This is her last season with us. We will miss you, Jackie! Here's a card I made with POD stamps for the coach...
Stamps: Purple Onion Designs Thank You Noteblock & Date Me - Seasons; Ink: Memories Black; Patterned paper: My Mind's Eye & Becky Higgin's School Kit (notepaper); Font: CK Typewriter; Ribbon: Maya Road
Do you like the stitched softball? I wanted to give the true effect of the raised stitching on an actual ball, so I cut along the stitch lines & distressed the edges, inked them up & then stitched them back together. I used the Date Me - Seasons stamp from POD...this happens to be one of my favorite & most versatile stamps. There are so many possibilities with this one!
Even though we love softball season, we are ready to see it come to an end. It is time to relax and enjoy the rest of summer break.
Catch you later!
