I'm here...

...just been busy.  :)  I have been working on projects for Scrapbook Bakery for the past few days...will show what I've been working on once Heather posts the January kit!  Love the new kit, so be on the lookout for that.

I have some awesome news to share!!  I have been picked to share a day on the Hero Art's blog with Shari Carroll!!!!!  See details here.  I am so excited for this & am truly honored to have been chosen by Shari...she is such a peach & I know we will have tons of fun together!

I managed to get a recipe gift card & caramel bars done up for our mail carrier.  Used the Santa with Gift stamp from Hero Arts...

I am honestly still trying to work on my December Daily.  I have some fantastic shots of Grandma telling the Nativity Story to Emma...can't wait to share!  Will hopefully be posting my finished pages in the next few days.

Also...wanted to let you know that I received some questions regarding the technique I used with the Silhouette Meadow Flower card for the Hero Arts Blog Hop.  I will be addressing the technique I used with either a series of photos or a video.  Haven't figured out which one yet.  :)

Day 23 + holiday wishes

Just popping in to share Day 23 & to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.  I am taking a couple days off to celebrate the holiday.  See you this weekend!

Day 23 - bought this card from IKEA.

Altered Ali's template to fit the back of the IKEA page...

My friend, Kari, gave the nutcracker to me so I wanted to include a full size photo of it & placed it in the "treasured" envy.  The snowflake paperclip was a gift from Kari, too, so I used that to act as a closure for the envy.

So excited for this page.  My dear friend, Kari, gave this nutcracker to me today.  I haven't ever given thought to collecting nutcrackers, until I saw Robin McGraw's collection...and I was drooling.  I LOVE how they look all standing together...bright reds with touches of greens & blues.  You can see the collection here...just click on the book to preview.  I will hold this treasure dear to my heart...thank you, Kari. 

Days 12, 15, 17 & 18

Sorry I'm skipping around a bit with my days...seems like that's how my days are going lately. :)  I am working on catching up & hopefully will have everything current by tomorrow.  My plan is to have Days 13, 14 & 19-24 done before Christmas Day so I can relax & enjoy the holiday.  I will post Christmas Day as soon as possible.

Day 12 documents Jon's & my visit to A&W while out shopping.  I stapled the bottom of the sleeve from my Starbucks coffee to create a pocket for extra photos...love the bar stools in the photo below. :)

See the blue envelope above?  I am going to slip a note to Jon in there...

Day 15...documented Haley's dance program.  I plan to include a DVD with video clips.  I folded her program & slipped it inside the blue envy (will also include journaling in there).  I love red added to the envelope...the results are one of my favorite color combos.

Love the way Ali Edward's did the date on her page here...did something similar on mine below.

Day 18...wanted to include the recipe for the cookies I like to make each Christmas.

Yup...I'm seriously behind.  :)  I quick put together a couple pages today while making teacher gifts for both girls.

My final project is a treat bag using the new Speckled Ornaments clear set.  I love this set!  So many possibilities with this one.  I am loving the Truly Appreciated clear set too...especially the "you're so special" sentiment!

DD updates

Hey everyone...sorry for the long absence!! I am really trying to get to my DD, but this week has been hectic so far. Haley had her dance program tonight. She has been in dance for the past six years and loves being part of a team. She has learned that it takes the effort of an entire group of girls to make a routine really stand out. Her dance instructor, Katrina, stepped into her position following a much-loved teacher and had big shoes to fill. She has gone above & beyond our expectations. The girls have really warmed up to her & that is a good thing. Great dancing tonight, Haley...you made momma proud.

I'm hoping to post some more DD tomorrow...might have to work in reverse to catch up.

Day 9 + lots of snow

We had a late start this morning, so I was able to finish & photograph Day 9...

Days 4 - 8

I was so behind.  I'm fairly caught up now & will post Day 9 tomorrow.  One thing you may notice is that I've omitted most of the stamping I did in last year's DD.  I spent quite a bit of time working on each page last year & didn't want to do that this time.  Keeping it simple.

Day 4 - documenting the small branch that I decorate each holiday...this season is my fave. Just realized that I do not have a number on this day...will add that later.

Day 5 - Purchased a fresh wreath from the local greenhouse.

Day 6 - An ordinary day...

Day 7 - Documenting the first significant snowfall.

Day 8 - This day is all about the Peppermint Stick icecream that we enjoy each Christmas.
