I Like to Color

The challenge this week at Hero Arts involves coloring in images.  There are several techniques for coloring, but my fave is using my PrismaColor colored pencils & Gamsol to blend.  First thing Monday night I colored some apples & they have been sitting on my desk ever since.  I finally had a bit of time to get them on a card this evening.

Quiet Sunday Evening

I am enjoying the peace & quiet at home right now because tomorrow is going to be chaotic!  Classes are starting at the college...and I'm ready to see the students back.  I love to see familiar faces along with new ones.  It is a great place to work.

I missed it...

Visions of Black, White & Pink

I have a final card to share using the amazing cardstock by Core'dinations!  This time I embossed the orange Whitewash cardstock & then inked the embossed areas with distress ink.  I also was inspired to use this sketch provided by Shari Carroll from Hero Arts.  This is a new stamp that I purchased at the LSS by Memory Box.  I usually stick with Purple Onion Designs or Hero Arts, but I couldn't resist this Twizzle Tree...love it done up in warm autumn colors.

I have another card to share using the amazing cardstock by Core'dinations!  I used the Whitewash cardstock, embossed with the Cuttlebug Textile Folder & then sanded it to show the core...this is really fun paper to work with & I truly suggest you try it!

Going Hybrid

I am loving the Stone Etchings Digi Stamp from Hero Arts right now.  I decided to make a hybrid card for the HA "Sketches2" challenge.  This card is based off of Shari Carroll's sketch #1.

Stamps:  Hero Arts CL267 Card Messages, F5158 Heart Winged Butterfly, S5141 Four Leaf Grid & Stone Etchings Digi Kit; Ink:  Ranger Distress Ink (Walnut Stain) & VersaMark Watermark; Patterned paper:  Basic Grey (infuse) & Cosmo Cricket; Cardstock:  Craft Supply Store; Pearls:  Basic Grey; Cuttlebug & Spellbinder's Nestabilities (scallop circle)

I printed out the circular stamp from the HA Stone Etchings Digi Kit onto kraft cardstock & then I cut around the upper petals & lifted them to reveal the patterned paper underneath.  The center of the flower is from Basic Grey & just happened to fit the center perfectly.

Lovin' cherries right now...and lemonade

Ok...I have another cherry card to share.  I also was inspired to use my Basic Grey Lemonade paper by Jana Millen's cute card here.  This is the first time I've cut into this great line of paper & I'm lovin' it!  I also wanted to participate in the "sketches2" challenge going on at Hero Arts!  Shari Carroll presented four sketches for the week & I love this sketch & card.  Here's my take...
