It is getting to be that time of year again...we are heading to school to register Haley & after that we are supply shopping! I don't know about you, but this can be quite stressful! I'm not sure how I'm going to handle the teenage years! I have a couple years yet before Haley will be interested in fashion...thank goodness! Here's a card to share that I made up for the "monochromatic" challenge at Hero Arts this week...
Stamps: CL351 Friends & S5142 Flower Wood Background; Ink: Memories Dye Ink (Black) & Ranger Distress Ink (Walnut Ink); Paper: HA Lagoon Notecard, Cosmo Cricket (Girl Friday), My Mind's Eye (butterfly) & cut bottom butterfly out of magazine; Button: craft supply; Pearls: Hero Arts; String: craft supply; CBug & Nestabilities
My decision to pop up the scalloped edge was by accident. I had planned to adhere the edges down & before doing so I noticed the blue scallops from behind and liked the added color effect. I used a bone folder to crease the outside of the background stamp and then gently pulled the scalloped edge up. Next time you plan to make a scalloped card, add a little color by doubling up the cardstock and lift the top edge. Wa la!
Catch you later!
