Fun with TECC65

I had some time this weekend to participate in Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #65.  The sketch this week inspired me to use the scalloped edge as a cut-off point for the front of the card.  

I thought it would be fun to turn the card inside out & have the pink show on the inside (inspired by the Hero Arts blog).  Here's my take...

Now for a card...I wanted to participate in the "distress" challenge going on at Hero Arts.  I also wanted to try out my new stamps that Hero Arts so generously gave me for being a Hero Hostess.  WOW!  I am amazed & in awe of their generosity...thank you Hero Arts.  In case you are not aware of the Hero Hostess thingy, you can see more info here.  Once the three months are up, someone else has a chance to be a hostess...could be you!  :)  So, without further ado...here is my first card made with the hostess stamps:

...sunshine & flowers.  Created this circular layout to add to Emma's album...so excited about this one!  I used Purple Onion Design stamps...links are below.

For the love of...

...tulips.  The tulip has been my favorite flower since I was a small girl visiting my grandparents.  Their house was completely surrounded with a border of tulips.  Grandpa had every color possible to brighten up his yard.  Nowadays, I wait for early spring with great anticipation until the patches here & there start to bloom.  We are expecting temps to warm into the 60's & 70's, so hopefully it will not be too long & we will see the bright colors of this short-lived flower.  For now, I have a tulip card to share.  The tulip stamp is Purple Onion Designs.

Happy Easter Wishes

Just wanted to wish everyone a wonderful Easter holiday.  I have been super busy this past week for my part-time job & also my mom's surgery last Monday.  Mom is on the mend & I am ready for a couple days off.

Just sharing this project...wanted to play along with the Hero Arts' Beyond Paper challenge.  I have had this white basket for some time & kept it with hopes of someday finding a good use for it.  I decided to decorate it up & stuff it with baby goodies for my friend who is expecting a baby boy.
