I am feeling a tad bit overwhelmed with all that is taking place in my house right now. The carpenters started on our new addition last week & I'm not ready. My drawing class begins this week. With all of the changes taking place, I'm a bit stressed. Nonetheless...I am relying on much needed faith that I'll get through this just fine. It also helps to make a card. ;-) Hee. I found this little girl all stamped & colored while cleaning my scrap space. I happened to stack her under some previously stamped pumpkins and had my "a-ha" moment. Wouldn't she be cute dressed up for Halloween?!?!!
Stamps: Hero Arts CL058 November Month, CL353 Halloween Sayings, CL381 Sweet Wonderful You & F5270 Traditional Pumpkin; Ink: Memories Black & Ranger Distress Ink (Vintage Photo); Cardstock: Papertrey Ink, Coredinations & Bazzill Basics; Patterned Paper: Making Memories & Cosmo Cricket; Other: Stickles (Ranger), wire & Copic markers
I sort of resigned myself to thinking that construction wouldn't start until next spring. To my surprise the carpenters tell us they'll be able to get things done before winter hits. The wall in the foreground is where my scrap room is going to be! Here's a hint of how it looks around here:
Here's my sketch of the addition (not drawn to scale):
Plans have already changed since I drew this up. Windows have moved around and I'm only having one door into my scrap space. We are having a pitched ceiling and a 8-9 foot wall dividing the living room and scrap room. This will allow much needed light to still filter into the living room. They are laying foundation block tomorrow. I'll post more pictures as the renovation progresses. I mentioned that I am cleaning up my scrap space...take a look:
You can see some table top! :-) I'm not even close to being done yet. I plan to box everything up into tubs so I can hopefully eliminate dust clean up later. This also means I likely will not be crafting for some time. :-( I plan to do a December Daily this year, but I'm weighing my options with digital & hybrid. If hybrid wins out, I will have to keep it simple. No fuss this year.
Anyone recognize the Graphic 45 Halloween in Wonderland set above? I am decorating my tree branch this Halloween with the diecuts from this paper line. So cute!
This is the extent of my crafting for now. I will post pics of my Halloween tree once I get it done. I also have some cards & ornaments to share using POD stamps. Michele is borrowing them for a craft show right now, so will post about them another time.
Thanks for hanging in there...such a long post. Catch you later!
