Wow...I love the challenge this week at Hero Arts to create a holiday card using non-traditional colors. This color combo jumped out at me and I had to create a card with it...
Stamps: Hero Arts CL270 Sky's the Limit (star), CL343 Holiday Sayings & S5101 Raindrop Background; Digital Kit: Hero Arts Scribble Trees; Ink: Memories Black; Patterned paper: Basic Grey; Cardstock: Hero Arts Lagoon Notecard; Ribbon: reasonableribbon.com; Jewels: Hero Arts; Other: chipboard tag, Ranger Distress Stickles (crystal), Spellbinder's Nestabilities Label One & Cuttlebug
Photoshop allows you to create layers of one image. On this card, I created duplicate layers of the tree & recolored them to match the colors in the color combo Hero Arts provided. I also added a dropshadow to give it dimension.
When working with digital images, don't limit yourself to placing the image directly in the center of your card. On this card, I enlarged the tree to run off the edge of the card. Also, think ahead & stamp your background prior to printing, like I did here with the embossed raindrop background.
Catch you later!

AWESOME Jenn -love what you are creating with the digital images. GORGEOUS.
