I am so excited to share with you the upcoming event, True Stamp 2014! True Stamp is an innovative one-day event bringing together top-notch stamping sponsors and instructors in a LIVE, online environment. Attendees will get the best in paper crafting instruction, right to their computers. With sponsors such as Technique Tuesday, Lawn Fawn, Simon Says Stamp, Raisin Boat, Paper Smooches, and Mama Elephant, you're promised a full day of inspiration, creativity and fun! Over 250 stampers have already registered for this incredible, fun, inspiring event. What's even better is that it's all recorded, so you can go back anytime to watch each class again!
There are so many great classes, but the one I'd love to take would be "What's Cookin'? Creative ingredients to whet your appetite for WOW!" by Raisin Boat (see photo):
I am all about details when it comes to my work, but I love me some more ideas on how to expand my mediums and techniques. This class, along with five others, has just what you need to get your mojo back on track. We all could use some new techniques, right? And how great is it that they are recorded videos?!?!! If you missed something during the live event, no worries! The beautiful thing is, you can go back again and again!
Date: True Stamp is scheduled for Saturday, April 5. Mark off the whole day to spend stamping away!
Cost: ALL SIX classes and full replays of the event are included in the one low registration fee of $97. What's even better? Readers of my blog can save $48 (almost 50 percent!) off the registration fee by using code LOVE at checkout! Discount ends March 17, 2014.
To Register: visit the True Stamp 2014 registration page here.
How about this for some fun! I am giving away one spot to this fabulous event! Just leave a comment here and I'll choose a winner on Friday, March 14!
Hi there! Sorry for the delay in getting this out today! It's been a crazy one!
Today I am sharing a couple cards over on the ME blog using the True Friend stamp set. I mixed things up a bit this time by using the gold Heart Stickers in an unconventional way.
I first used the negative space from the heart stickers to act as a mask for the green hearts.
I masked off the outside edges with post-it notes.
I used the Mojito ink and gently inked up the hearts to give them an "ombre" effect. This was done by applying less pressure as I worked towards the top.
The mask should be pulled off slowly as to not rip the cardstock.
After trimming the kraft cardstock down to the desired size, I adhered it to the white cardstock base. I stamped the True Friend sentiment onto the Bold Banner diecut and popped it up with foam tape.
I also created this next card by randomly placing the heart stickers on the background and then dabbed on the Bubblegum ink. Once the ink was set, I gently peeled off the stickers to reveal the original white base color.
Sketchy Letters is a really fun alphabet. Lots of possibilites with this one! I chose to highlight the HB2U greeting by popping up the negative space left over from die-cutting the Love Quotes - Creative Cuts die.
The little bird from the Love Quotes set finishes it all off.
Be sure to see what all the other ME design team members made here.
Today's highlight is the Origami set. This is a very fun set of images that could easily be stamped several times and fussy-cut to create a very cool result. I chose to go with the simple route and stamp on patterned paper.
I love that the brown polka-dots worked perfectly as little eyes for the cat.
Check out what the others have done with this fun set here!
I didn't get a chance to wish you Happy Valentine's Day, so I'm doing it today! I made a sweet collage of my parent's over the years using the 7 Gypsie's Printer's Tray and stamps from Purple Onion Designs:
I have a plan to make more of these with Jon's family pictures, along with our own family pics. I hope to display them all on one wall along with random found letters. I will share once I get this project done. :)
This Honey Bunny set makes me yearn for Spring! I love the two bunnies sitting together, and thought it would be fun to make a trio of bunnies with one of them holding a valentine using the conversation heart from the exclusive ME+SSS Filled With Love set.
And those polka-dots on the one bunny? Just draw them in and color away!
Be sure to see what the other design team members cooked up here.
Welcome to the Mama Elephant Design Team blog hop!
Our February release is now live and available for purchase in the store. You should have just arrived from Laura's blog. If this is your first stop on the hop, you can find the beginning here (there is also a blog list towards the end of this post).
Today I am showcasing the Honey Bunny set. It's so darn cute, you'll fall in love with the little bunnies. I used the Love Quotes - Creative Cuts die to create the base for these little paper clips/bookmarks. Aren't they sweet?!?!!
To celebrate the new release, Mama Elephant is giving away one of each of the new stamps released! Winners will be chosen at random from the collective blogs in the Stampede (so be sure to leave a comment here on my blog). Winners will be announced on the blog on the last Stamp Highlights Day.
You have up to 3 chances to qualify to win! Just leave a separate comment for each!
Welcome to the SSS + ME Filled With Love Blog Hop!
If you are just checking in, the blog hop starts at Simon Says Stamp. A complete hop list is below.
Valentine's Day (aka the holiday of love!) is quickly approaching, and we thought it would be fun to have a little blog hop sharing one of the newest Simon Says Stamp releases called Filled With Love. This stamp and die set is the result of a new partnership between Simon Says Stamp and Mama Elephant and is available exclusively at Simon Says Stamp! The fun jar and candy images, along with all of the great sentiments, are perfect for creating all of your valentine's cards and sweet treats!
Here's what I came up with using this sweet set:
I die-cut the jar lid and heart using the matching dies. The lid is embossed in pewter and glossy accents provided a shiny finish to all of the hearts.
Studio Calico will pick a winner on Friday, February 7 and announce it here!
Up first is a card I made using the Sugar Rush card kit, along with the super cute stamp set from the Taffy add-on (stamp set made exclusively for SC by Mama Elephant)! 1D fans...check out this sentiment!
This next card uses paper from the Taffy kit, along with the confetti balloon and "rock star" sentiment stamps:
The polka-dot balloons are cut using the Party Kit - Creative Cuts from Mama Elephant. I then dabbed embossing ink on the edges and added glittery gold embossing powder.
Your next stop is the blog of the very talented Elena!
Mama Elephant is having another Photo Inspiration Challenge! We're looking for one winner who will win a guest designer spot for a future release! You can check out all the deets here. Challenge ends 2/7.
I was inspired by the silver, pink and creamy white color combo in this photo.
